The dancers are lying face down on the floor. After a while their backs begin to twitch and their bodies become energized. We feel the moment - totally in the now, with the beat washing over us. We want to join in and get carried away …
MOMENTUM creates a tangible feeling of movement connecting the dancers and audience in their shared space. The rising energy levels, combined with increasing exhaustion become a shared state which develops into a driving element of the performance. Together with a DJ and light designers, CocoonDance experiment with the connections, similarities and thresholds between movement and emotion. And we are right in the middle of it.
