What connects us humans? What rituals characterize our being together? And how can we come together in these times? Or can we perhaps renegotiate community right now, at the social zero point that has passed?

WAHN was supposed to be a group play with very different people of all ages. They remained different, but no longer a group. Corona fragmented and also atomized the rehearsals, which could no longer take place together for the dancers as planned. Patricia Carolin Mai then choreographed a hybrid installation in intensive individual rehearsals, bringing together projections of bodies with isolated live dancers on stage.

On the edge of madness, an impressive and oppressive dance performance was created, in the midst of a time in which we all have to ask ourselves how we can remain connected and in relationship with each other despite separation and displacement into the digital.
