David Guy Kono & Jean Calvin Yugye
David Guy Kono and Jean Calvin Yugye conduct performative and musical research in their Hundert Pro residency on the topic of the transgenerational transmission of (family) history and the role of the postcolonial constitution of reality, which inevitably remains entangled with it.
Guy Kono conducts aesthetic research in his residency and thus simultaneously directs his gaze inwards, to his own history, and outwards, to the social conditions with which he is confronted on a daily basis. He defines his residency as a research laboratory which is also about trying out new ways of rehearsing and working, which sometimes defy the usual production logics in the theatre.
