Table Talk – Discourse in Bite-Size Pieces
„Food is not just fuel. Food is about family, food is about community, food is about identity. And we nourish all those things when we eat well.“
This is what US journalist and author Michael Pollan wrote in his book In Defense of Food: An Eater's Manifesto. In our interactive panel 'Table Talks', visitors gather around bar tables in various roles to eat together. How much of our identity is defined by being an artist or art patron, organizer and/or visitor—or even a Ringlokschuppen veteran? How do we view the frightening developments in our society(s)? What utopias do we need to develop? The space is alive, constantly changing, and each new round offers different exchanges and surprising encounters. Everyone decides for themselves how actively they participate, moderate, listen, or discuss. The personal meets the political—over good food.
