Bam 밤 is TachoTinta’s new nomadic karaoke venue, ritual space, and gathering place for mourning, created just for you. Four performers transform songs into choreographed rituals about hope, shame, gratitude, and migration-related grief. Bam 밤 (night in Korean) is the name of our nomadic space—a temporary karaoke venue, ritual cave, and gathering place for mourning in the city. It fills with choreographed tributes, toasts, celebrations, and dances inspired by moments of migration-related grief. Together with four performers, we give voice to hope, frustration, shame, gratitude, and grief. Our starting point is our observations regarding the emotional and physical consequences that migration can entail.

The choreography is based on the idea of transforming songs into mourning rituals. It draws inspiration from autofictional stories as well as the concept “Happy Bodies Can Resist.” TachoTinta combines contemporary dance with a strong affinity for ironic pop and gestural poetry. The choreographic language is characterized by precise bodily articulation and detailed movement sequences, yet remains open to the humorous and performative possibilities of the moment.

TachoTinta ist ein 2017 gegründetes choreografisches Kollektiv mit Sitz in Nordrhein-Westfalen unter der künstlerischen Leitung von Silvia Ehnis Pérez Duarte und Mijin Kim in enger Zusammenarbeit mit dem Dramaturgen Robin Junicke. Mit einer Prise Selbstironie und einer Neugier für das Rohe entwerfen sie temporäre choreografische Universen. Gemeinsam nähern sie sich Fragen der Körperlichkeit und des Storytellings aus einer transkulturellen Perspektive und lassen sich von den Hürden und Missverständnissen auf dem Weg dorthin inspirieren.

Ihre Bühnenproduktionen waren bereits an verschiedenen Theatern in Deutschland zu sehen und feiern ihre Premieren traditionell in Mülheim an der Ruhr. Die erste Produktion “Cultural Drag” wurde 2021 zu tanz nrw eingeladen und tourt seit 2024 in einer neuen Fassung unter dem Titel “Cultural Drag xxs”. 2022 folgte die zweite abendfüllende Produktion “commonnorm. 2024 war TachoTinta Teil des Stadtprojekts “Schwimm City” im MüGa Park im Rahmen des Impulse Theater Festivals und entwickelte ein choreografisches Porträt von Unterwasser-Rugbyspieler*innen. Derzeit wird TachoTinta von der RheinEnergieStiftung Kultur sowie der KunstSalon-Stiftung gefördert und erhält bis 2028 die Konzeptionsförderung Tanz des Landes Nordrhein-Westfalen. In Kooperation mit dem Ringlokschuppen Ruhr und dem PRT Bochum setzt die Companie neue Impulse für den Tanz im Ruhrgebiet und darüber hinaus.

“Bam 밤 – Karaoke for violet Nights” is a production by TachoTinta GbR, co-produced by Ringlokschuppen Mülheim an der Ruhr and Theaterwerkstatt Pilkentafel Flensburg. 
It was funded by the Ministry of Culture and Science of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia, the Ministry of General and Vocational Education, Science, Research, and Culture of Schleswig-Holstein, the Cultural Office of the City of Cologne, and the Cultural Office of the City of Flensburg. Kulturquartier e.V. Cologne provides rehearsal space at the Quartier am Hafen and partially funds DGS interpretation services, with support from the Kämpgen Foundation in Cologne.
