Review & Feedback
The SUR visit to the state parliament took place on December 14, 2025, with 20 participants of diverse ages and backgrounds, including individuals from Syria, Cameroon, Afghanistan, Guinea and Nigeria. The visit offered a comprehensive tour of the parliament, covering the main hall, foyer, visitors’ gallery, plenary chamber, presidential offices, committee and party rooms, meeting spaces, and members’ offices.
The excursion proved to be a highly enriching experience for all participants, who were particularly impressed by the parliament’s size, modern facilities, and efficient organization. Many highlighted the strong contrast between this institution and parliamentary buildings in their countries of origin.

The visits to Cologne Cathedral and the Ehrenfeld Mosque enabled participants to gain deeper insight into Christian and Islamic places of worship, religious practices, and symbolism. Participants developed a clearer understanding of how both spaces are used for prayer, ceremonies, and community life, while reflecting on similarities and differences in architecture, artistic expression, and ritual practices. The exchange fostered interreligious dialogue, mutual respect, and greater appreciation of cultural and spiritual diversity. Multilingual support provided by SUR further enhanced understanding and active participation during the visits.
