Ringlokschuppen Ruhr supports young contemporary theatre in the region.

The house showcases the diversity of current stage art in its own productions by regional and national artists of the independent dance and theatre scene. Through its international co-productions, guest performances, festivals and municipal theatre cooperations, the Ringlokschuppen Ruhr has established a broad network. In addition, the Ringlokschuppen presents stars and newcomers in cabaret and comedy as well as selected concerts. With free "do-it-yourself" offers and participatory urban projects such as the Silent University, the Ringlokschuppen Ruhr is open to everyone.

The Ringlokschuppen Ruhr is a place of dialogue between pioneering artists and interested visitors, between different generations and burning social issues. A space for open encounter and debate in a rapidly changing world.

The Ringlokschuppen Ruhr Supporters Club includes spectators and participants of the house, artists and partners, people from the city and the region and the team. We want to join together art and society in a lively relationship and advocate a new, communal concept of culture.

Im Freundeskreis des Ringlokschuppen Ruhr kommen Zuschauer*innen, Künstler*innen, Mitmachende, Partner*innen und Unterstützer*innen des Ringlokschuppen Ruhr zusammen. Wir vernetzen uns und tauschen uns aus, auch über das Programm des Ringlokschuppen Ruhr hinaus. Angesichts aktueller gesellschaftspolitischer Entwicklungen spielt auch die ideelle Unterstützung von Orten, die wie der Ringlokschuppen für eine offene und vielfältige Gesellschaft eintreten, eine zunehmend wichtigere Rolle.
