Intercultural Empowerment-Network for Scholastic Women

Bridget Fonkeu, a researcher of sociolinguistics and Consultant at the Silent University Ruhr, would like to encourage migrant women with academic qualifications and other competencies, to pursue their career aspirations despite existing social and cultural obstacles. Beginning from November 2016, she organizes a discussion group for women at the dezentrale in the Mülheim city center. This meetings will take place in a relaxed atmosphere and child care services will be provided for mothers who might like to bring their children along. The discussion will take place about twice a month. 

Our vision is that women should build bridges over inter-cultural, inter-class and inter-religions lifestyles, abilities and differences.

The discussions are aimed at: - Encouraging the cooperation and exchange of ideas among women. - Creating a network between women of different careers and professions. - Finding common solutions to common problems. - Improving the socioeconomic integration of women through practical assistance.

Place: Silent University Ruhr / dezentrale, Leineweberstraße. 15-17, 45468 Mülheim an der Ruhr Participation: Free of charge. Maximum number of participants: 25 women
