dezentrale becomes vier.zentrale! The new Mülheim Theatre Alliance vier.ruhr (Theater an der Ruhr, Mülheimer Theatertage “Stücke”, Ringlokschuppen Ruhr) is pairing up with the Bildungsnetzwerk Innenstadt (inner city education network) and the Silent University.

Together we are opening up a space for theatre, the city and society to interact with one another. A central location in the city with space for conversations, exchanges, intercultural encounters, art and integration. On 5th September, the doors of the new project space should have been opened with drum rolls and fanfare, popping champagne corks and a colourful programme of theatre, music, comedy and dance. We wanted to celebrate, discuss, laugh and dance with you. But not this year!

We all know why. To mark the opening of the vier.zentrale there will be now the opportunity to take a stroll and “walk and talk”. Simply come to the new vier.zentrale, look curiously through the keyhole and discover who and what is behind it. Get involved in a game, meet interesting people, discover the city from a different perspective and take your “match” on a walk through Mülheim an der Ruhr. Discuss what connects us and how we want to shape the future together in our diversified urban society.

The vier.zentrale is a place where all people are welcome and can meet and exchange ideas openly. During the regular opening times, you will receive information about cultural events in Mülheim an der Ruhr. You can purchase theatre tickets or simply have a coffee and start a conversation. Sat., 05.09.2020 serves as the starting gun for the programme, which is taking place in the new project space – vier.zentrale. The existing programme will be expanded and further developed, and new things will be added.
