Identity (crisis) of Ruhr Diasporic Youths
mit Muheez Adio-Kuuoyi | Jamie Tersek | Mutasem Bellah Khattab | Nessim Dridi-Egypt
How do youths with a migration history experience their own identity in contemporary Germany? Through a definition of widely discussed terms such as identity (crisis) and migration, these youths will expose their personal experiences. This first-hand exposition will reveal their personal struggles in social and communal life, in school and training, in work and economy of what they today call home.
The lecture is both academic and personal, rendering visible the struggles of young people with migrant and post-migrant identities.
The speakers Muheez Adio- Kuuoyi, Jamie Tersek, Mutasem Bellah Khattab and Nessim Dridi-Egypt are all (post)migrant youth or young students themselves.
